What You'll Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements for commercial and residential properties
- Assist on commercial leasing matters, including letter of intent review, lease drafting, and landlord-tenant negotiations
- Support real estate development transactions from initial structuring through closing
- Conduct due diligence reviews, including title examination, survey analysis, and zoning assessments
- Prepare and review loan documents, deeds of trust, and related financing instruments
- Coordinate with escrow officers, title companies, lenders, and brokers to facilitate timely closings
- Assist with entity formation and structuring for real estate acquisitions and joint ventures
- Communicate directly with clients, providing clear and practical legal guidance throughout transactions
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing
- Approximately one year of transactional real estate experience, whether from a law firm or in-house setting
- Foundational understanding of California real estate law, title concepts, and commercial leasing principles
- Strong drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail in reviewing transaction documents
- Ability to manage multiple active matters and meet client-driven deadlines in a team-oriented environment
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
