About the Role

As a Food Service Worker/Cashier in Kokomo, Indiana, you'll be a friendly, dependable presence in a busy K12 cafeteria. This on-site position combines food preparation and service duties with cashier responsibilities, supporting a positive mealtime experience for students and staff each school day. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and serve menu items while following food safety and sanitation standards
• Operate the cash register, process transactions, and handle payments accurately
• Greet students and staff courteously and answer basic questions about meal options
• Stock, restock, and rotate food and supplies throughout each shift
• Keep serving lines, counters, and dining areas clean, organized, and ready for service
• Support the kitchen team with setup, cleanup, and other assigned tasks

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience is helpful
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a Monday-through-Friday schedule with hours that may vary
• Comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced cafeteria environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness, accuracy, and friendly customer service
• Willingness to work on-site at Northwestern School Corp, 3075 North Washington Street, Kokomo, IN 46901
