Role Overview
At TripleTen, an EdTech company based in the United States (nationwide) (nationwide), we design and run tech career learning programs for both the US and Latin American markets. Our mission is to teach complete beginners—individuals with no prior tech background—through cohort-based programs built on our own platform and curriculum, developed in partnership with Nebius AI. We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) Subject Matter Expert who will be part of a team of senior authors responsible for creating the content for FDE courses. This role is part-time and requires working closely with Learning Experience Designers to ensure that our projects and lessons are educational.
Responsibilities
- Design and build end-to-end projects students work on, including scope, learning goals, technical infrastructure, environments, and supporting databases or datasets.
- Write clear submission guidelines and assessment criteria (rubrics) that reviewers can apply consistently.
- Work closely with Learning Experience Designers to enhance the educational value of our projects and lessons.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who has experience in client environments, carrying AI deployments to production, and can provide insights on what a sound deployment looks like. You should be able to articulate why an experienced engineer’s approach might be incorrect. Your audience includes working production engineers with six to fifteen years of experience, mostly backend, including senior and staff engineers and occasional engineering managers who are moving into forward-deployed AI work.
More About TripleTen
TripleTen is a fully remote company with a globally distributed team. We serve a large, active student base across both regions, providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in tech careers. Our format for these courses is asynchronous, estimated at 20 hours per week.

Be ready to teach a hard technical idea clearly, critique a sample lesson or rubric, and explain how you would help a struggling career changer. Expect scenario questions about consistency across cohorts and keeping FDE content current without inventing unsupported claims.
Strong fit if you can translate hands-on engineering judgment into teachable standards for TripleTen learners. Weaker fit if you prefer pure product delivery with little instructional or mentoring work.
