The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSH&E) Expert to join our Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel in Charlotte, NC. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods across various industries. As part of this team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining QSH&E standards that align with industry best practices.

What You'll Do

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Conducting risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards in the workplace
• Developing and enforcing safety protocols and training programs for employees
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to quality, safety, health, and environmental standards
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement QSH&E initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks
• Performing regular inspections and maintaining records of all QSH&E activities

What You Bring

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in QSH&E management within the logistics industry
• Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations
• Strong leadership skills to manage and mentor staff
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
