Position Summary

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Exercise and Sports Sciences to join the multidisciplinary School of Health Sciences at the University of Tasmania (UTAS). This is a full-time, ongoing role based in Launceston. The successful candidate will contribute to excellence in teaching, research, and academia within the field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum in partnership with industry, health, and high-performance sectors
• Contribute to the development of innovative teaching methods and learning materials
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and research opportunities
• Engage in academic supervision and mentoring of students
• Participate in administrative duties and contribute to the School's strategic goals

Requirements

• A relevant doctoral degree (or equivalent) in Exercise Science, Sports Sciences, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in teaching at tertiary level
• Strong research capabilities with evidence of successful publication and grant acquisition
• Experience in industry partnerships and engagement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation
