PART-TIME FIELD SUPPORT CONTRACTOR – WESTERN NEBRASKA
About the Role
Arable is seeking a part-time contractor based in or near North Platte, Nebraska, to provide field support for our expanding customer and project base across western Nebraska. This role offers flexible, hands-on support to Arable’s Customer Success team. Hours will fluctuate according to seasonal and project demands, with opportunities this fall and anticipated increased needs during the 2027 growing season. Regular travel throughout the region is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support for Arable’s field-level data collection systems
- Assist in installation, calibration, and maintenance of equipment
- Conduct field assessments to gather and analyze data
- Communicate findings and recommendations to customers and team members
- Support customer success by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Who We're Looking For
- Agricultural background or experience in a related field (e.g., grower, farm manager, crop consultant, agronomy professional, irrigation specialist, ag technician, recent agriculture graduate)
- Comfortable working outdoors and with technology
- Dependability and reliability as a local resource for the team and customers
- Excellent communication skills
- A willingness to learn Arable’s technology and adapt to our mission of connecting farms to optimize the global food system
