About This Position
Wood is seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to join our Operations business in Dennington, near Port Campbell, Victoria. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of engineering and brownfield modifications, operations & maintenance, procurement, construction, asset management, and optimization projects for Oil & Gas clients.
Core Duties
- Perform mechanical fitting work to high standards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of mechanical components and systems.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks on completed work.
- Work closely with a team of engineers and other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met.
Skills & Qualifications
- Trade certification in Mechanical Fitting or related field is required.
- Proven experience in mechanical fitting within the Oil & Gas industry.
- A strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
