Build the skills for this role
Prioritize on-site leadership, residential roofing scopes (tear-off, underlayment, flashing, ventilation), weather-aware scheduling, and clear customer communication. Build comfort with takeoffs, change orders, photo documentation, and basic production metrics. No certification costs are listed in the provided cert data.
Be ready with examples of managing multiple residential jobs at once: how you sequenced crews, handled material delays, resolved punch lists, and kept homeowners informed. Expect scenario questions on safety stops, storm/weather delays, and quality issues on a Madison-area roof.
Best fit if you like field leadership more than desk work, can juggle schedules and people under weather pressure, and enjoy turning a sold roof into a clean, finished install for Allstarservicesnow customers in the Madison market.
