Role Overview

The Local Missions Coordinator at Watersedge serves as the central organizer for local service efforts in Grand Rapids, MI. In this onsite position you will design practical outreach strategies, keep initiatives running smoothly day to day, and ensure every project delivers tangible benefit to area residents. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage a calendar of local mission projects and one-day service events throughout Grand Rapids, MI
• Recruit, onboard, and schedule volunteers so every activity has the right mix of skills and enough people
• Forge lasting partnerships with neighborhood groups, schools, and service agencies to expand reach
• Handle day-to-day logistics including supplies, transportation coordination, and participant registration
• Track activity progress, gather simple feedback, and prepare straightforward status updates for leadership
• Identify emerging community needs and propose new local mission ideas that align with available resources
• Maintain accurate contact lists and communication channels so every participant stays informed and engaged

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience coordinating volunteers or community programs is strongly preferred
