Your Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive assessments of laboring patients, newborns, and women presenting for gynecologic or postpartum care, documenting findings accurately
• Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and progress of labor using electronic systems and clinical observation
• Assist during vaginal or cesarean deliveries, prepare sterile fields, and ensure safe transition of mother and infant
• Administer prescribed medications, manage pain relief protocols, and provide intravenous therapy according to orders
• Educate families on breastfeeding, newborn care, postpartum recovery, and self-management before and after discharge
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies, initiate standard resuscitation measures, and coordinate with the rapid-response team
• Maintain clear hand-offs between shifts and participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives

Who We're Looking For

• Current, unrestricted registered nurse license valid for practice in Wisconsin
• Clinical knowledge of obstetric nursing, fetal monitoring, and women's health principles
• Ability to work independently on nights while communicating effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Basic life support certification and familiarity with neonatal resuscitation practice standards
• Strong prioritization skills for managing multiple patients and adapting to changing clinical situations
• Commitment to patient privacy, infection control, and respect for diverse family needs
