Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities of quality technicians and inspectors to maintain coverage and accountability across all shifts
• Create, refine, and enforce quality procedures that align with industry best practices and internal requirements
• Perform routine process audits, product verification checks, and first-article inspections to catch deviations early
• Investigate non-conformances, root-cause-analyse failures, and install lasting corrective and preventive actions
• Compile quality metrics dashboards, trend reports, and executive summaries that guide decision-making
• Coach and cross-train team members on inspection techniques, documentation standards, and continuous-improvement tools
• Partner with operations, engineering, and supply-chain colleagues to resolve quality barriers that affect throughput or on-time delivery
• Support external QMS audits and customer assessments by preparing evidence packages and hosting facility tours

Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record supervising quality personnel in a production or manufacturing setting
• Deep working knowledge of quality-management systems, statistical process control, and formal problem-solving methods
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for coaching frontline staff and presenting findings to leadership
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and measurement data with precision
• Proficiency using common quality software, spreadsheets, and ERP modules to track defects and generate analyses
• Proven judgement when prioritising competing demands while meeting deadlines under pressure
• Willingness to maintain a visible floor presence and respond to urgent quality events as they arise
