Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform thorough history-taking and physical examinations for patients seeking same-day urgent evaluation.
• Formulate accurate diagnoses for common acute presentations and initiate evidence-based treatment plans.
• Order, review, and act on laboratory studies, imaging, and other diagnostic results as clinically indicated.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and follow-up recommendations when appropriate under applicable guidelines.
• Document encounters completely and promptly within the electronic medical record system.
• Educate patients and families about their diagnoses, home care instructions, and when to seek higher-level care.
• Coordinate with clinical colleagues to maintain smooth patient flow and consistent quality standards throughout the day.

What You Bring

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure valid for practice in Connecticut.
• Relevant board certification and current CPR or equivalent life-support credentials.
• Solid foundation in managing acute primary and urgent-care presentations across age groups.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and comfort using clinical decision tools.
• Clear interpersonal skills and the ability to explain medical information so patients feel informed and respected.
