Role Overview

This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to advance your hospitality career in a supervisory role. You'll partner with the Director of Housekeeping to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the property while building and developing a strong housekeeping team. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is central to guest satisfaction and the smooth operation of our San Antonio luxury hotel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and adherence to hotel standards
• Conduct detailed inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to verify cleanliness and compliance with property protocols
• Create and manage housekeeping schedules, work assignments, and staffing to maintain adequate coverage
• Track and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, linens, and amenities
• Respond to guest concerns regarding room cleanliness and work toward prompt resolution
• Enforce safety procedures, housekeeping best practices, and environmental standards across all areas
• Communicate maintenance needs to engineering and coordinate timely repairs and maintenance work
• Participate in recruiting, hiring, and training new housekeeping department members
• Cultivate a positive, accountable team culture that encourages communication and professional growth

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, cleanliness standards, and housekeeping procedures
• Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
• Attention to detail and high standards for quality and organization
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift regularly; up to 50 pounds frequently
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Familiarity with housekeeping or property management systems preferred
