The Opportunity
RSM is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Senior Associate 1 with a passion for international tax to join our growing Bengaluru, India, India practice. In this role, you'll work on high-impact engagements advising multinational enterprises and domestic groups on international tax strategy, compliance, and planning. You'll grow your technical knowledge under the mentorship of experienced professionals while building relationships with clients and delivering value-driven solutions in the international tax space.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review international tax compliance documentation, including transfer pricing studies and documentation packs, ensuring alignment with Indian and global regulatory requirements
- Support clients with cross-border transaction analysis and tax planning advisory, evaluating opportunities and risks across multiple jurisdictions
- Conduct tax research on complex international issues and maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes affecting multinational operations
- Coordinate with tax authorities and external advisers on technical matters and regulatory submissions
- Manage project timelines and client communications, ensuring deliverables meet agreed quality and timeline standards
- Contribute to the development of team members and mentor junior staff on international tax concepts and methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accountancy, or related field; CA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in international tax advisory, tax compliance, or professional services environment
- Strong technical foundation in international taxation principles, transfer pricing, and Indian tax law
- Excellent analytical and research capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple engagements concurrently and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in MS Excel and professional maturity in client-facing situations
