General Merchandise Overnight Stocking

Join Meijer as a General Merchandise Overnight Stocking associate at our 28th & Kalamazoo location in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a full-time position where you'll be essential to keeping our store organized and fully stocked for customers during overnight hours.

Position Summary

As a General Merchandise Overnight Stocking associate, you'll work during third shift to ensure our store is prepared and well-stocked each morning. You'll receive incoming merchandise, organize products across our general merchandise department, and stock shelves for customer access. This role is critical to store operations and requires someone committed to maintaining a clean, organized shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect merchandise from delivery trucks and freight shipments
• Sort and organize products for efficient stocking throughout the store
• Stock shelves and displays with general merchandise items across assigned departments
• Operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts (if trained and certified)
• Maintain clean and organized aisles, shelves, and merchandise displays
• Check product accuracy against shipping documentation and verify inventory counts
• Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet nightly stocking goals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds
• Reliable and available to work overnight, third-shift hours
• Ability to work independently while remaining a strong team contributor
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to following safety guidelines and company policies
• Ability to read and interpret product information and labels
