Role Overview
As a Patient Services Rep at Etch's Urgent Care Blount County location, you're essential to our patient experience and operational flow. During your evening shifts, you'll register patients, verify coverage, answer phones, and keep our front desk running smoothly so our clinical team can focus on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Register patients and collect personal, insurance, and medical history information accurately
- Verify insurance eligibility and explain coverage details to patients
- Answer incoming calls and direct them appropriately to clinical or administrative staff
- Schedule appointments and communicate appointment details with patients
- Manage patient flow, provide wait time estimates, and coordinate with clinical staff
- Maintain organized patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Address routine patient questions regarding services, billing, and follow-up instructions
- Assist clinical team by maintaining an efficient, welcoming front desk environment
