What This Role Involves

As a Cafeteria Attendant at Edison K-8 School, you'll be an essential member of the Food and Nutrition Services team, working directly under the Cafeteria Manager. This part-time role centers on assisting with daily meal preparation and service, maintaining clean and organized work areas, and supporting smooth cafeteria operations. Your contributions help ensure nutritious, timely meals are available to the school community each day.

What You'll Do

• Assist with food preparation and serving during your 9am–1pm shift
• Keep serving stations, counters, and equipment clean and sanitized
• Handle trays, utensils, and dishware following health and safety protocols
• Restock supplies and assist with inventory management as needed
• Provide friendly, respectful service to students and school staff
• Comply with all food safety regulations and Boston Public Schools standards
• Help set up and break down dining areas daily
• Collaborate with cafeteria team members to meet service needs
