Role Overview

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic at BURNCO Colorado LLC, you'll be the backbone of our equipment maintenance operations. You'll diagnose and repair critical machinery that powers our construction materials business across North America, working hands-on with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and industrial equipment. This is a full-time position based in Firestone, Weld County, offering the stability and team environment that comes from working with a company that values safety, quality, and dependable service.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on heavy equipment, trucks, and machinery
• Diagnose mechanical problems using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment
• Repair or replace components including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs and maintenance performed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure equipment downtime is minimized and operations stay on schedule
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment
• Work on diesel engines, brake systems, suspension systems, and other heavy-duty components

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or similar heavy equipment maintenance role
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment repair
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Valid driver's license
• Physical ability to perform demanding mechanical work in various conditions
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• ASE certification or equivalent technical qualifications are a plus
