Certified Pharmacy Technician

Role Overview

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Walmart, you'll be a crucial member of our pharmacy operations, supporting licensed pharmacists in delivering accurate and timely prescription services to our community. What You'll Do

• Accurately fill prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, verifying medications, dosages, and patient information
• Process insurance claims and manage billing for prescription transactions
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and organizing medications and supplies
• Assist customers with medication questions, referring complex inquiries to the pharmacist
• Input patient data into pharmacy systems and maintain accurate records
• Support front-end operations including greeting customers and managing the retail area
• Follow all HIPAA regulations and company policies to protect patient privacy

Requirements

• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) in New Jersey or ability to obtain within required timeframe
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency with pharmacy management software and point-of-sale systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
