Truck Driver Owner Operator – OTR – Dry Van

Forward Air is hiring professional owner-operator truck drivers for consistent, full-time over-the-road (OTR) opportunities in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The Opportunity

This is an owner-operator position where you maintain full control of your trucking business while partnering with Forward Air for steady, reliable freight. You'll have access to a consistent flow of dry van loads, industry-leading mileage, and the flexibility to manage your own operations. Owner operators in this role typically earn between $160,000 and $200,000 annually. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Transport dry van freight loads across the United States on over-the-road routes, including long-haul and regional assignments
• Maintain detailed electronic logbooks and ensure full compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and reliability of your equipment
• Coordinate efficiently with dispatch regarding load assignments, delivery schedules, and route planning
• Meet delivery deadlines consistently while providing professional, courteous service to customers and brokers
• Monitor fuel economy and operating costs to maximize profitability and operational efficiency

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean, current medical certificate
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable over-the-road truck driving experience
• Clean driving record with a demonstrated commitment to safety and DOT compliance
• Professional, reliable, and punctual approach to every load and customer interaction
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to independently manage your trucking business
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills to work effectively with dispatch and shippers
