Early Career P&C Field Services Technician

WSP USA is hiring an Early Career P&C Field Services Technician for full-time, on-site work based in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas. Join our growing Power Testing and Energization (PTE) team and launch your career in electrical systems testing and commissioning.

Position Summary

This entry-level field services role offers hands-on experience in power systems testing, energization procedures, and electrical commissioning across utility substations and industrial facilities throughout Texas. You'll support critical infrastructure projects while developing technical expertise in a fast-growing organization committed to solving complex problems for our clients. Core Duties

• Assist in planning, setup, and execution of power testing and energization work on substations and industrial electrical systems
• Perform field measurements, data collection, and troubleshooting under supervision
• Support commissioning activities and system verification procedures
• Maintain accurate field notes and documentation for testing activities
• Follow all safety protocols and assist the team in maintaining a safe work environment
• Communicate status updates and observations clearly to senior technicians and project leadership
• Transport equipment and materials to and from job sites as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong interest in electrical systems and technical field work
• Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to follow written procedures and instructions precisely
• Physical capability to work in outdoor and industrial environments, including climbing and lifting
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Texas as projects require
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
