Project Director, Power Market

J.E. Dunn Construction Company is seeking an experienced Project Director for Power Market projects in Springfield, Missouri. Lead large-scale energy and power infrastructure construction initiatives as a full-time director, overseeing project delivery from planning through completion.

The Opportunity

This Project Director role offers the chance to lead high-impact power market construction projects at one of the nation's most respected construction firms. As a Project Director focused on power generation and energy infrastructure, you'll manage complex project execution, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure projects meet quality, safety, and schedule standards. This position is ideal for a construction leader ready to take on significant responsibility and drive success on critical energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct overall project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution for power market construction projects
• Oversee project teams including superintendents, engineers, and field personnel to ensure safe, efficient project delivery
• Manage stakeholder communication and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
• Monitor project performance against established metrics, budgets, and timelines
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards on all jobsites
• Identify and resolve project challenges proactively to protect profitability and schedule
• Coordinate with headquarters and other J.E. Dunn locations on best practices and resource allocation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of construction project management experience, ideally including power or energy projects
• Proven track record directing large, complex construction projects from inception through closeout
• Strong knowledge of construction schedules, budgeting, and cost control
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
• Solid understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA compliance
• Professional communication and client management skills
• Valid driver's license
