Success Education Colleges is seeking a full-time VN Tutor/SOS Instructor for our Lemon Grove campus in San Diego County. If you're passionate about helping vocational nursing students succeed, we want to hear from you.
What This Role Involves
As a VN Tutor/SOS Instructor at Success Education Colleges, you'll be central to student success in our accredited vocational nursing program. You'll plan and deliver instruction aligned with our curriculum standards, guide learners through rigorous material, and create an environment where students can thrive academically. Reporting directly to the Campus Director, you'll work across morning and afternoon sessions, bringing both expertise and approachability to every class. This is a faculty position where your teaching directly shapes how well our students master vocational nursing concepts.
Core Duties
- Develop and deliver lesson plans that align with the accreditation-approved VN curriculum
- Instruct students in vocational nursing theory and practical skills
- Supervise student learning activities and ensure engagement across morning and afternoon sessions
- Provide tutoring support and one-on-one guidance to help students reach their academic goals
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to support diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with fellow faculty and staff to maintain program quality
- Model professional conduct and ethical standards for vocational nursing practice
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and performance
Qualifications
- Willingness to serve as a professional role model for students in healthcare education
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse students and faculty
- Strong communication and teaching skills
- Pleasant, professional demeanor and commitment to student success
- Knowledge of vocational nursing curriculum standards and teaching methods
- Availability to teach both morning (A.M.) and afternoon (P.M.) sessions
