Cake Decorator

Position Summary

As a Cake Decorator at Walmart, you'll be the creative force behind our bakery's decorated cakes and specialty baked items. In this full-time role, you'll design, frost, and embellish cakes to customer specifications, ensuring each creation meets our quality standards and delights our shoppers. You'll work in our West Somerset bakery location, collaborating with the bakery team to deliver fresh, beautifully decorated products every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and decorate cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods using frosting, fondant, and specialty toppings
• Follow customer orders and design specifications to create custom bakery items
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Ensure product quality and presentation meet Walmart's standards
• Collaborate with bakery team members to fulfill daily production goals
• Assist with customer consultations regarding cake designs and flavor options

Requirements

• Experience in cake decorating, baking, or a related bakery role (or willingness to learn)
• Attention to detail and commitment to visual quality
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including potential early morning shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Food safety knowledge or willingness to become certified
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
