Position Summary
You'll work at the heart of algorithmic trading, translating advanced quantitative methods into real-world market advantage. Collaborating closely with researchers, engineers, and traders, you'll investigate market dynamics through data, build predictive models that uncover trading opportunities, and apply statistical and machine learning techniques to solve problems that push the boundaries of financial technology. Responsibilities
- Examine large-scale market datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and exploitable opportunities
- Develop predictive algorithms and statistical models that enhance trading strategy performance
- Apply machine learning and advanced statistical inference to understand market microstructure and behavior
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to validate findings and implement trading strategies
- Conduct rigorous backtesting and analysis to evaluate model effectiveness under real market conditions
- Contribute to the full research lifecycle from hypothesis generation through production deployment
Who We're Looking For
- PhD candidate or recent PhD graduate in mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science, or closely related quantitative discipline
- Demonstrated expertise in probability theory, statistical analysis, and computational methods
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, Java, or similar languages
- Experience working with large datasets and building data-driven models
- Ability to reason rigorously about uncertainty and make sound judgments with incomplete information
- Curiosity about how markets work and enthusiasm for solving hard problems
