About the Role

This is a temporary travel assignment designed for qualified cath lab technologists seeking short-term contract work. You'll work 10-hour shifts on a rotating schedule at a Des Moines healthcare facility, supporting the cardiac catheterization team. The assignment runs for 13 weeks and begins as soon as possible.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and maintain catheterization laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Assist physicians during cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs and provide technical support during procedures
• Maintain sterile field protocols and adhere to infection control standards
• Document procedure details and maintain accurate patient records
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and inventory of catheters, guidewires, and other supplies
• Respond to emergency situations and code alerts

What We're Looking For

• Current certification as a Certified Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS or equivalent)
• Active professional licensure as required by Iowa
• Minimum 2-3 years of catheterization laboratory experience
• Proficiency with standard cath lab equipment and imaging systems
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and hemodynamic monitoring
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Flexibility for rotating shifts and willingness to work on a travel contract basis
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
