COOK (PART TIME)

Compass Group, North America is hiring a part-time Cook for Wilton Public Schools in Wilton, Connecticut. Join our team to prepare meals for our school community.

About the Role

As a part-time cook in our K-12 school foodservice operation, you'll prepare fresh, nutritious meals for students each school day. This position offers a convenient Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with no nights or weekend work required.

What You'll Do

• Prepare meals, vegetables, proteins, and other components following approved recipes and portion guidelines
• Operate kitchen equipment correctly and maintain food safety and sanitation standards
• Work alongside kitchen staff to meet daily meal production targets
• Keep the cooking and food prep areas clean and organized
• Assist with food inventory and stock rotation as needed

What We're Looking For

• Prior culinary or kitchen experience (preferred)
• Ability to follow recipes and cooking procedures
• Strong food safety and sanitation awareness
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based kitchen environment
