Troubleman/Journeyman Line Worker – SHIFT

PPL Corporation is hiring a Full Time Troubleman/Journeyman Line Worker in Cobbs Lake Preserve, Wayne County, to diagnose and repair electrical distribution lines, ensuring safe and reliable power delivery across our service territory in eastern and central Pennsylvania.

About the Role

This hands-on position is vital to maintaining the electrical grid that serves our customers. You'll troubleshoot electrical failures, perform maintenance on distribution systems, and restore power when outages occur. Working with one of the most advanced electrical systems in the United States, you'll apply your technical expertise in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where safety and reliability are paramount.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose electrical distribution line faults and equipment malfunctions
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on poles, transformers, conductors, and related infrastructure
• Climb poles and work at heights safely using proper protective equipment and techniques
• Restore service to customers following outages and emergency events
• Adhere strictly to electrical safety standards and OSHA requirements
• Coordinate with team members and dispatch to complete work orders efficiently
• Document maintenance activities and equipment conditions for operational records

What We're Looking For

• Valid Journeyman or Troubleman line worker certification or equivalent field experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Physical capacity for strenuous work, including climbing, lifting, and outdoor labor in all weather
• Solid understanding of electrical safety practices and industry regulations
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to work shifts as required by operational schedules
