About the Role
As a Registered Nurse at Ascension St. Elizabeth in Appleton, you'll provide direct patient care across orthopedics, neurology, oncology, and medical-surgical units. Working a full-time 0.9 FTE schedule with weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), you'll be part of a collaborative team committed to exceptional outcomes and compassionate care for every patient.
What You'll Do
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients recovering from orthopedic procedures and managing neurological conditions
- Support patients undergoing cancer treatment with clinical expertise and emotional support
- Manage medical-surgical patients through assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and care coordination
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Document patient care thoroughly and maintain accurate health records
- Respond to patient needs and advocate for safe, high-quality care
- Follow Ascension's commitment to infection prevention, safety protocols, and clinical best practices
What We're Looking For
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience or willingness to work in orthopedic, neuro, oncology, or medical-surgical environments
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
