About the Role
As a Special Education Teacher with Region 7, you'll deliver individualized instruction tailored to each student's unique abilities and learning goals. What You'll Do
- Design and implement differentiated lesson plans aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct instruction in core academic subjects using evidence-based special education strategies

- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, parents, and support staff to coordinate integrated services
- Maintain detailed documentation of student performance, accommodations, and modifications

- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to comprehensive special education planning
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
- Valid EC-12 Special Education Certificate (or eligibility for certification)
- Strong knowledge of special education law, accommodations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work with students experiencing a range of disabilities and learning differences
- Commitment to creating an equitable, supportive learning environment
- Organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping and compliance
