About the Role

As a Store Perishable Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the perishable sections of our Dollar General store, including produce, dairy, and prepared foods. This role combines operational leadership with customer focus, ensuring our shelves are stocked with high-quality, fresh merchandise while maintaining compliance with company standards and food safety regulations.

What You'll Do

• Oversee inventory management, stock rotation, and merchandising in all perishable departments
• Monitor product freshness, quality, and shelf life to ensure customer satisfaction and food safety
• Coordinate receiving, pricing, and placement of perishable goods according to company guidelines
• Lead and mentor team members in perishable departments, providing training and performance feedback
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant storage and display areas
• Monitor shrinkage and waste, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency
• Communicate with store management regarding inventory needs, staffing, and departmental challenges
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies in all perishable operations
