About the Role
The TODAY show's social presence reaches millions daily across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and emerging platforms. As an Associate Social Media Video Producer, you'll be at the center of that operation, translating broadcast moments into compelling vertical video that stops the scroll. You'll work in a fast-paced newsroom environment where turnaround times are tight and quality standards are high.
What You'll Do
- Edit short-form video content optimized for each platform's format and audience
- Adapt broadcast footage and interviews into social-ready clips
- Create original social content and graphics alongside video work
- Publish content to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and new platforms as they emerge
- Maintain fast turnaround on content while ensuring quality and brand consistency
- Collaborate with producers, reporters, and the broader social team
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of platform-specific video requirements and audience behavior
- Eye for compelling storytelling and visual composition
- Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
- Experience with social media platforms and digital trends
- Attention to detail and accuracy in editing and publishing
