Counterintelligence Specialist SME with Security Clearance

Amentum is now hiring a Counterintelligence Specialist SME for a USSPACECOM program based in Colorado Springs, El Paso County. This is a full-time position for a cleared professional ready to protect critical U.S. national security operations from foreign intelligence threats and emerging technological risks.

About the Role

As a Counterintelligence Specialist Subject Matter Expert with active security clearance, you will safeguard sensitive national security information and U.S. operations from evolving foreign intelligence collection efforts. This role focuses on identifying, monitoring, and assessing foreign intelligence activities targeting U.S. persons, military operations, and strategic interests—particularly emerging technology threats that could compromise operational security.

What You'll Do

• Identify and monitor foreign intelligence collection efforts directed at U.S. persons, activities, military operations, and strategic national interests
• Analyze and assess counterintelligence threats posed by foreign actors and emerging technologies to U.S. space operations and national security missions
• Evaluate foreign intelligence tradecraft, capabilities, and operational approaches to develop protective countermeasures
• Apply subject matter expertise in foreign intelligence operations and methodology to inform defensive security posture
• Collaborate with intelligence, security, and operational teams to counter foreign collection attempts and mitigate risks
• Produce counterintelligence analysis and briefings for commanders and security personnel

What We're Looking For

• Active security clearance (TS/SCI or higher preferred)
• Demonstrated expertise as a counterintelligence specialist or related national security discipline
• Deep understanding of foreign intelligence operations, tradecraft, and organizational structures
• Knowledge of technological threats to U.S. military and space operations
• Strong ability to analyze complex intelligence and develop actionable assessments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for classified team environments
• Commitment to operational security and protection of sensitive information
