The Glenbard Elementary Consortium is seeking two full-time Special Education Paraeducators at Hadley Junior High School within Glen Ellyn School District 41.
About the Role
As a Special Education Paraeducator, you'll provide essential classroom and behavioral support to students with diverse learning needs. Working collaboratively with certified special educators, you'll implement individualized education plans, manage classroom dynamics, and help create an inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
What You'll Do
- Support certified special education teachers in delivering personalized instruction aligned with student IEPs
- Assist with student behavior management and positive reinforcement strategies
- Help establish and maintain classroom routines and transitions for students with different needs
- Monitor student progress and share observations with special education staff
- Provide one-on-one or small-group instructional support as assigned
- Maintain student confidentiality and demonstrate professional judgment
- Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources
