Marketing Designer

Join Readerlink Distribution Services as a Marketing Designer in San Diego, San Diego County. This is a full-time position supporting Printers Row Publishing Group's creative and commercial goals across multiple publishing imprints.

About the Role

As Marketing Designer, you'll drive visual storytelling for one of the country's leading independent trade publishers. Working across both direct-to-consumer and business-to-business initiatives, you'll develop and execute design solutions that build brand recognition and accelerate sales for a diverse portfolio of published works.

What You'll Do

• Design cohesive visual campaigns for digital and print media, from social media graphics and email newsletters to website banners and advertisements
• Create book cover designs, catalog spreads, and promotional collateral that reflect each imprint's unique brand voice
• Develop layout concepts and typographic treatments that enhance readability and aesthetic impact across publishing channels
• Collaborate with marketing, editorial, and sales teams to ensure design assets align with campaign goals and brand standards
• Maintain visual consistency across seven distinct publishing imprints while adapting designs for their individual market positions
• Produce assets optimized for both digital platforms and traditional print production

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Strong portfolio showcasing layout design, typography, and visual branding work
• Understanding of design principles, color theory, and user experience in both digital and print contexts
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output
• Experience interpreting briefs and translating strategic objectives into compelling visual solutions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to take constructive feedback collaboratively
