About the Role
Cone Health is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Echo Technologist to perform comprehensive cardiac and vascular ultrasound examinations. What You'll Do
- Perform echocardiograms, vascular ultrasounds, and other cardiac imaging studies according to established clinical protocols
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain examination processes, and ensure their comfort and safety
- Operate ultrasound equipment with precision, optimizing image quality for diagnostic interpretation
- Document ultrasound findings accurately in the patient record and communicate relevant observations to physicians
- Maintain ultrasound equipment through routine maintenance and quality assurance checks
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient privacy and confidentiality standards
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1–2 years of professional ultrasound technician experience, preferably in echocardiography
- Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification or equivalent qualification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients and clinical teams
- Detail-oriented approach to image acquisition and documentation
- Physical ability to perform imaging studies, which may involve extended periods standing and working with patients of varying mobility
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with ultrasound technology advances
