About the Role

As a Cook / Grill Operator at our Walker location, you'll manage the kitchen line with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. Working across all shift hours, you'll collaborate with your team to deliver the quality that keeps guests coming back to Waffle House.

What You'll Do

• Operate and maintain cooking equipment, including grills, griddles, and fryers, following established procedures and food safety standards
• Prepare menu items with consistency and proper presentation, adhering to recipe specifications and portion sizes
• Manage multiple orders simultaneously in a high-volume kitchen environment while maintaining quality and speed
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary cooking station throughout your shift
• Follow all food handling and health code requirements to ensure guest safety
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Prior kitchen or restaurant cooking experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency
• Reliable and dependable, ready to work all shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards
• Willingness to learn new techniques and take direction from management
