Acute Rehab Registered Nurse

Position Summary

We're looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care to patients throughout their acute rehabilitation stay. You'll be at the center of a multidisciplinary team, combining clinical excellence with compassionate patient advocacy to support recovery from illness, injury, or surgery. Your role emphasizes holistic care planning, patient education, and coordination of care across physical, occupational, and speech therapy programs.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs, functional progress, and clinical status throughout shifts
• Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans aligned with each patient's rehabilitation goals
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy, wound care, and other clinical interventions as prescribed
• Communicate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and case managers to coordinate integrated rehabilitation care
• Educate patients and families on recovery strategies, discharge planning, and home health management
• Document clinical observations, interventions, and patient responses in electronic health records with accuracy and timeliness
• Respond to patient needs and provide emotional support during the rehabilitation process

Requirements

• Current Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program
• Valid CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development
• Prior acute care or rehabilitation nursing experience is valued
