Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader

United Land Services is seeking a dedicated Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader to oversee daily landscaping operations in Tampa, Hillsborough County.

About the Role

As a Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader, you will guide a team of technicians to deliver high‑quality lawn care and landscape maintenance for residential and commercial properties. You will ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the standards our clients expect from United Land Services.

What You'll Do

• Lead and motivate a crew of 2‑5 lawn care technicians each workday
• Assign tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, fertilizing, weed control, and irrigation checks
• Inspect completed work for quality, addressing any issues before leaving the site
• Maintain and service equipment, performing routine checks and reporting maintenance needs
• Train new crew members on proper techniques, safety procedures, and company standards
• Communicate with property managers or clients to understand service requirements and provide updates
• Complete daily logs, time sheets, and material usage reports accurately
• Enforce all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment
• Assist with loading/unloading materials and supplies at the start and end of each shift

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in lawn maintenance, landscaping, or a related groundskeeping role
• Ability to operate commercial mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation equipment safely
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of motivating and directing a small team
• Knowledge of turf grass types, common weeds, fertilizers, and basic irrigation systems
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transporting crew and equipment
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lb, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and reporting to supervisors
• Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic
