About the Role

Reporting to the Youth and Learning Director (or their designee), this role oversees the design and delivery of out‑of‑school time initiatives that serve Santa Clara Pueblo youth from early childhood through high school. The manager ensures programs are safe, inclusive, and aligned with the community’s educational and cultural goals.

What You'll Do

  • Develop program calendars, activity plans, and learning objectives that address academic achievement, cultural heritage, physical wellness, and leadership growth.
  • Coordinate logistics, secure facilities, and manage supplies for after‑school, weekend, and summer sessions.
  • Supervise program staff, volunteers, and contractors, providing training, scheduling, and performance feedback.
  • Implement evaluation tools to measure outcomes, collect participant feedback, and report results to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with schools, tribal departments, local nonprofits, and families to expand resources and support.
  • Monitor budgets, track expenditures, and ensure compliance with funding guidelines and tribal policies.
  • Maintain accurate records, attendance logs, and documentation required for grant reporting and internal audits.
  • Promote youth engagement through outreach, recruitment efforts, and community events that highlight program successes.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, youth development, social work, public administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience managing out‑of‑school time, after‑school, or summer youth programs, preferably within a Native American or tribal setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple schedules, budgets, and reporting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with youth, parents, staff, and community leaders.
  • Knowledge of Pueblo culture, traditions, and values, and a commitment to integrating them into programming.
  • Experience supervising teams, conducting trainings, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Proficiency with data collection tools, basic statistical analysis, and report generation.
  • Ability to pass required background checks and meet tribal employment standards.
