About the Role

As an Owner Operator with Forward Air, you will operate your own tractor on long‑haul dry van loads across the continental United States. The role emphasizes minimizing downtime, maximizing revenue, and maintaining a professional partnership with a carrier that prioritizes driver success.

What You'll Do

• Plan and execute OTR dry van trips while adhering to Hours‑of‑Service regulations.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, coordinate routine maintenance, and address mechanical issues promptly.
• Secure and deliver freight safely, completing all required documentation and electronic logs.
• Communicate regularly with dispatch to optimize load assignments and reduce idle time.
• Manage business expenses, including fuel, tolls, and insurance, to protect profitability.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum one year of verifiable OTR dry van experience as an owner operator.
