Pro Customer Service/Sales

Home Depot is hiring a Pro Customer Service/Sales specialist for our Downey, Los Angeles County location to lead customer engagement and drive sales growth within our professional contractor and commercial customer segment.

About the Role

This full-time position focuses on delivering premium service and expertise to Home Depot's professional customer base—including contractors, property managers, and commercial clients. You'll be the essential link between Home Depot's products and services and the professionals who depend on us to complete projects successfully. Your work spans order management, customer guidance, and solution-driven sales.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain relationships with pro customers, understanding their project needs and business challenges
• Process orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment for contractor and commercial clients
• Oversee safe, compliant product loading and material handling for professional shipments
• Provide expert product recommendations tailored to specific trade requirements and project scopes
• Coordinate delivery logistics and solutions that align with professional job timelines
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues to maintain satisfaction and loyalty
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities while maintaining trust with pro customers
• Meet sales targets and contribute to team performance metrics

What We're Looking For

• Strong customer service background with a focus on building relationships and solving problems
• Sales experience or demonstrated ability to connect customer needs with solutions
• Knowledge of building materials, contractor workflows, or the construction/trades industry (preferred)
• Ability to manage multiple orders, priorities, and customer interactions simultaneously
• Clear communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Reliability and accountability in a fast-paced retail environment
• Physical capability to assist with product loading and material handling
