RN – Float Pool – Full Time – Nights

Mercy is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Float Pool to join our healthcare team in Washington, Franklin County. This full-time night position offers the flexibility and variety that comes with float pool nursing while allowing you to make a meaningful impact across our facility.

About the Role

As a Float Pool RN at Mercy, you'll work evenings and nights providing compassionate, skilled care to patients across multiple units and departments. You'll leverage the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model to deliver evidence-based patient care, adapting quickly to different clinical environments while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and accountability.

What You'll Do

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans
• Manage assigned patient caseloads during night shifts, prioritizing care needs and responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Coordinate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams across departments, nursing units, and support services to ensure comprehensive, continuity of care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
• Uphold patient rights, dignity, and confidentiality in all clinical interactions and communications
• Practice within the full scope of nursing licensure, adhering to institutional policies and professional standards of care
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality improvement, and teamwork across our healthcare community

What We're Looking For

• Current, active RN license (Registered Nurse) in good standing
• Ability to work full-time evening and night hours with flexibility for float pool assignments
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience in patient care delivery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities
• Commitment to professional practice standards and patient safety
• Experience in hospital nursing preferred
