Northrop Grumman seeks a Manager Business Development 3 to lead US Navy account growth and strategic partnership development in Tampa, Hillsborough County. In this full-time role, you will drive revenue expansion, strengthen customer relationships, and advance defense innovation while contributing to mission-critical national security initiatives.

About the Role

As a Manager Business Development 3, you will own Navy account strategy and execution, positioning Northrop Grumman's solutions to meet the service's evolving operational and technical needs. This position requires travel up to 50% of the time and a foundational security clearance to begin. You will balance strategic business planning with hands-on account management, influencing stakeholders from command levels to engineering teams.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute account plans that identify growth opportunities within assigned Navy programs and contracts
  • Cultivate relationships with key Navy decision-makers, procurement teams, and technical leads to understand requirements and competitive landscape
  • Collaborate with proposal, engineering, and operations teams to deliver compliant, competitive responses to Navy solicitations
  • Monitor contract performance, identify renewal and expansion opportunities, and manage account health metrics
  • Travel to customer sites, industry events, and company facilities to strengthen partnerships and align solutions with Navy priorities
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to inform business strategy and positioning

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of business development, account management, or sales experience in defense contracting or government markets
  • Demonstrated success managing high-value accounts or pursuing large federal contracts
  • Strong understanding of Navy procurement processes, budgets, and organizational structure
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Active Secret clearance or willingness to obtain one before start date
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field
