Senior Living Community Caregiver

Open Arms & FCS is seeking a dedicated part-time Caregiver to support seniors in our Wheeling, Illinois community. As a Caregiver, you'll provide compassionate, hands-on assistance to help clients maintain their independence, dignity, and well-being in their daily lives.

About the Role

This part-time position offers meaningful work in home-based senior care. You'll work directly with clients to ensure their comfort and safety while fostering a supportive, respectful environment. Based in the Wheeling area of Cook County, you'll become a trusted presence in the lives of seniors who rely on your care and attention.

What You'll Do

• Assist with personal care activities, including grooming, bathing, and dressing
• Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs
• Help with mobility, transfers, and light housekeeping tasks
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Remind clients about medications and medical appointments
• Monitor clients' well-being and report changes to supervisors
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily tasks
• Willingness to respect client privacy and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a care team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred)
