Graphic Designer – Multi-Media Specialist

Maximus is hiring a Graphic Designer – Multi-Media Specialist in Rochester Hills, Oakland County to support a federal healthcare program. This is a full-time, on-site position where you'll design and produce impactful communications for stakeholders across diverse technical and operational backgrounds.

About the Role

As our Graphic Designer – Multi-Media Specialist, you'll take complex subject matter and translate it into visually clear, compelling materials that drive understanding and engagement. This role sits at the intersection of health administration, public service, and visual communication, offering meaningful work that supports the national organ procurement mission.

What You'll Do

• Design printed and digital communications—brochures, infographics, presentations, and web graphics—that distill technical health policy into accessible visual narratives
• Collaborate with program managers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to capture requirements and transform requirements into polished deliverables
• Develop and maintain brand consistency across multi-channel communications
• Work with document layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy to prioritize clarity and usability
• Produce assets for federal compliance, internal operations, and public-facing communications
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight timelines without compromising quality

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or equivalent)
• Portfolio demonstrating strong layout, typography, and visual communication skills
• Experience designing for diverse audiences—technical and general public
• Ability to gather requirements, ask clarifying questions, and translate concepts into design solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in team settings
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, or related field preferred
