About the Role

As an Independent Insurance Claims Adjuster with MileHigh Adjusters Houston Inc, you'll be the trusted investigator and advocate for both insurers and policyholders. This full-time position combines analytical investigation with client-focused communication to resolve claims fairly and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Investigate insurance claims by gathering evidence, reviewing policies, interviewing claimants and witnesses, and collecting supporting documentation
• Inspect property and assess damage to determine coverage and estimate repair or replacement costs
• Analyze claim details and policy terms to establish claim validity and appropriate settlement amounts
• Prepare comprehensive claim reports documenting your investigation, findings, and recommendations
• Communicate with insureds, medical providers, repair contractors, and other parties to facilitate claim resolution
• Negotiate fair settlements while protecting the insurer's interests and operating within policy limits
• Maintain detailed claim files and ensure compliance with regulatory documentation standards
• Stay informed of industry changes and market conditions affecting claims in Camp Lejeune and Onslow County

What We're Looking For

• Valid North Carolina insurance adjuster license or ability to obtain one
• Demonstrated experience investigating and managing insurance claims
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet consistent deadlines
• Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage types, and claims procedures
• Professional judgment and strong ethical standards
• Availability to respond to time-sensitive claims in your service area
