About the Role
As a CDL-A OTR Truck Driver with Ryder, you'll transport no-touch freight across multi-state routes. This full-time position is based in Powhatan and is suited for drivers with over-the-road commercial transportation experience.
What You'll Do
- Operate and maintain commercial vehicles on OTR routes
- Transport no-touch freight safely and on schedule
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain delivery and compliance documentation
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company policies
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route updates
Compensation & Benefits
- Base weekly pay: $1,850
- Mileage rate: $0.76 per mile (typical range: 1,800–2,100 miles per week)
- Stop pay: $17.50 per stop (typical range: 4–8 stops per week)
- Per diem: $50 per night
- Sign-on bonus: $3,000
