Master Project Scheduler

Maximus is seeking a Master Project Scheduler in Rock Hill, York County, to manage timelines for federal government programs across national defense and security. This full-time position offers the opportunity to apply your scheduling expertise in roles that directly support mission-critical government operations.

About the Role

You'll take the lead on developing and maintaining project schedules that keep complex federal initiatives moving forward. Working with cross-functional teams who value precision and accountability, you'll balance multiple timelines, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure programs meet their government-defined milestones.

What You'll Do

• Develop comprehensive project schedules aligned with program scope, budget, and government requirements
• Track schedule performance and flag risks or delays early so teams can respond effectively
• Coordinate with program teams, partners, and government representatives to resolve scheduling conflicts
• Maintain detailed schedule documentation and deliver regular progress reports to leadership
• Apply scheduling tools and methodologies to optimize timelines and forecast project outcomes
• Verify that all schedules meet contractual obligations and regulatory compliance standards

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience building and managing schedules for large-scale, multi-faceted projects in government contracting or defense
• Working knowledge of scheduling software including Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or comparable tools
• Skill in presenting complex scheduling information clearly to stakeholders at all levels
• Familiarity with project scheduling best practices such as Critical Path Method or Earned Value techniques
• Strong organizational discipline and problem-solving capability
• Comfort working collaboratively in a results-driven environment
• Bachelor's degree in project management, business, engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
