Join Bon Secours Mercy Health as a Medical Lab Scientist – Medical Lab Tech (MLS/MLT) at our Anderson Hospital location in Cincinnati. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week night shift position offers the opportunity to deliver essential diagnostic services within a faith-based healthcare community dedicated to patient-centered excellence.

About the Role

As a Medical Lab Scientist or Medical Lab Technician, you'll play a vital role in patient diagnosis and care. Working during night shift hours, you'll perform laboratory testing, analyze specimens, and generate results that directly impact clinical decisions and patient outcomes. You'll be part of a compassionate healthcare team where collaboration and attention to detail define success.

What You'll Do

• Collect, process, and analyze blood samples, urine specimens, and other biological materials using laboratory protocols and automated analyzers
• Perform clinical chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, and other diagnostic tests with precision and accuracy
• Maintain strict quality control standards and follow CLIA and OSHA compliance requirements
• Document and report test results accurately and securely within the electronic health record system
• Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other clinical professionals to support optimal patient care
• Stay current with laboratory best practices and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Current licensure as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in Ohio, or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Associate's degree (for MLT) or Bachelor's degree (for MT) in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field
• Certification through ASCP, AABB, or equivalent recognized credentialing body
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and diagnostic instruments
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently during night shift hours
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Commitment to patient safety and continuous learning in laboratory medicine
